This module supports the execution of recommended process by CMMI-DEV and PMBOK for time planning execution.
Installing this module you will be able to defined work packages, define project tasks based on created work packages, sequence project tasks using a network diagram, register estimations in estimations minutes, support that single estimated results be inputted results for tasks’ effort, duration, resources, and for work packages size. Also is supported the execution of critical path method, which automatic calculates the start and end dates of project tasks, based on project start date, tasks dependencies, and the estimated efforts. A user guide for this module is available within the module download. |

Hi
Installation went smooth. The module is really helpful. Intending the tasks is cool. However I am getting an error on the PDM tab. I played around with the diagrams and something happened and I am getting an error "Cannot open localhost/dotproject/index.php?m=projects&a=view&close_task_all=1&proje ct=45&tab=13 Operation aborted". I am sure I did something with the diagrams and links which is causing the error. But can't load the page at all to fix the error. Can I play around with the db values to load the page again? Please help Pre |

Hi Pre, I really apreciated you liked to use the module.
This error message "Cannot open localhost/dotproject/index.php?m=projects&a=view&close_task_all=1&proje ct=45&tab=13 Operation aborted"." looks strange, due there is no action called from PDM tab to that URL. About your question, yes you can feel free to play with db values. But I don't think the error cause is that.... When this error happens? Suddenly? Or just after you execute some specific action as click on Save button? |

Hi,
I am sorry, I should have been clearer. When I click on the PDM tab (for me it is the 13th tab), I see my tasks as rectangles that I can link to each other. I click on 'the little circle' at the end of TASK1 and drag to 'the little circle' at the beginning of TASK2 to indicate that TASK2 can start only after TASK1. Now a blue arrow is visible between the two tasks. I click on LBL_SAVE. Now the link is saved. I go to other tabs and do other "important things" and come back to PDM tab. That is when I get the error. The tab does not load. Every other tab like the Derivation, Estimations, WBS can be loaded but PDM. Can you help? Thanks Pre |

I am really not able to simulate that issue, but I have some tips.
- Are you using it in which browser? Did you already tried in more than one? (It had to work in all of them, at least it was tested on IE, Firefox, and Chrome) - Do you have some other add-on module which customizes project tabs? It also didn’t have to cause any interference, but maybe it is a possibility. - It was tested on dotProject 2.1.5. - Also is strange you be seeing “LBL_SAVE”, you had to see “Save”, probably the translation file are not been taken, but it had to. You can find it into locales folder, maybe it needs to be resaved in your SO. - The most strange is it works on first time, and after save not more. I don’t know if you have access to db, but the table used by PDM tab is “tasks_mdp”, you could take a look if iy had any date inserted. Let me know about any update. Thanks |

Hi Rafael,
Yes, I tried it in Google Chrome and there seems to be no problem. Earlier I was using IE6 and IE8. Shall continue to use Chrome. The details are getting saved in the db and retrieved back. The PDM tab is loading properly. The translation file is still not loading though, but that a minor issue I can live with :-) Thanks for the reply. Pre |

I installed the time planning module but none of the database tables were created. How can I resolve this, is there a script I need to run?

Well I solved that problem by removing the TYPE-InnoDB and also the default values for text fields in the table generation. That fixed the missing database issue and now I have a duplicate header when processing the WBS.

About the duplicated header for WBS, you have the column names duplicated, or the data duplicated?
Maybe you could check whether the WBS entries were saved properly on database. |
